MP looking forward to cheaper Australian products

Yesterday it was announced that Britain and Australia have signed a comprehensive free trade agreement, which is the UK’s first brand-new trade deal since our departure from the European Union. It is anticipated that this deal will increase trade with Australia by 50%, with the agreement removing all Australian tariffs on all British exports. British companies will be able to bid for Australian Government contracts, and immigration and working arrangements between our two countries will be liberalised, especially for people aged under 35.

John said,

“I congratulate the British and Australian Governments on this notable achievement, which will further strengthen the bonds between our two countries and play to each other’s strengths. There are many excellent new measures in this free trade agreement which our citizens and businesses in both countries will wish to use to our mutual advantage. I look forward to their excellent wine being reduced in price.”
