MP thanks Her Majesty for 70 years of service
Yesterday marked HM The Queen’s Accession Day, which marks the official beginning of the Platinum Jubilee year celebrating her 70 years on the throne.
John said,
“On behalf of our community, I offer our congratulations to The Queen on achieving this extraordinary milestone. For 70 years she has given our country unstinting service and has been an important constant amid changing times. Most of us have never known any other monarch.”
“In this Platinum Jubilee year we look forward to marking this special occasion, as well as thanking Her Majesty for the extraordinary service and sense of duty that she has made her hallmark.”
