MP praises work of charity

During a recent visit to Mayflower High School, Billericay, on behalf of the trustees [chaired by Geoffrey Buckenham] John Baron MP launched the new website for the Billericay Educational Trust.

John said:

“Having been associated with the Billericay Educational Trust for some years now, I know it does excellent work in helping young people from Billericay benefit from further education. So congratulations to all the Trustees.”

“This website is an exciting initiative. Not only does it show the wonderful history of the Trust, but it also gives guidance as to the straightforward application process as well as a lot of other useful information.”

“The Trust is entering the Fun Walk this year and, as always, is looking for any size of donation or bequest to further increase its funds and, thereby, improve the opportunity to provide additional grants.”

Tony Page, Trustee, said:

“Although modest in size, the Trust continues to strive to help deserving young people benefit from Further Education. The Trust has a history going back over 300 years & it is perhaps regrettable that, today, there is still a need to support young people in these financially strained times.”
