MP congratulates Tescos and local schools
Today, John Baron MP presented the ‘Tesco for Schools and Clubs’ 2011 awards to local schools at the Extra, Mayflower Retail Park, Basildon. Schools were represented by children and teachers who participated. Vouchers were collected by the schools, parents and children and then exchanged for equipment to be used across the curriculum. Chris Banks (Store Manager) hosted the event.
John said:
“Congratulations to Tescos for this excellent initiative. This store gives a lot back to the community and this equipment will be a great help to local schools and clubs. Well done also to the schools and parents for participating.”
The local schools at the presentation were and Noak Bridge County Primary School and The Willows Primary School.
