John Baron MP officially celebrates handover of Moat House affordable homes

MP congratulates CHP, Basildon Council and Persimmon Homes

John Baron MP has officially celebrated the handover to CHP of affordable homes at Moat House, Church Road, Laindon. This development is the product of a cooperative agreement between Basildon Borough Council and Essex Housing Association CHP. He was joined by Cllr Frank Tomlin, Ursula Hellis [Vice Chairman, CHP], Brian Shedley [Vice Chairman, CHP] and John Richardson [Construction Manager, Persimmon Homes].

John said:

 “These high quality affordable homes are an asset to the local community, and the result of excellent cooperation between the Council and CHP. Our congratulations go to both, and to Persimmon Homes which built them. These homes will help a wide range of local residents.”

 Councillor Frank Tomlin, Basildon Council’s cabinet member for housing, said:

“CHP and Persimmon Homes have delivered an excellent new housing development. The 13 new affordable homes will go a long way in meeting the housing needs of local people for today and for future generations.”

 Carl Hockey, CHP development and regeneration manager, said:

 “We are delighted to hand over these high-quality affordable homes which will benefit local residents. Our main aim is meet housing need and to help people – as demonstrated by our strapline; Communities; Homes and People.  I hope that the residents that occupy these homes are very happy.”
