MP attends Parliamentary Reception to celebrate Council’s animal welfare award
Yesterday evening in Parliament, John attended a reception held by the RSPCA to celebrate the winners of its Community Animal Welfare Footprint [CAWF] awards. The CAWF award scheme is run by the RSPCA to recognise local authorities, contingency planners and housing providers that go beyond basic requirements to ensure higher welfare standards for animals in the services they provide. John met with Darren Dykes, Sarah Moran, Kelly Taylor and Teddy Toomer from Basildon Borough Council at the reception to celebrate the Council’s Bronze Award.
John said:
“Congratulations to Basildon Council’s team for once again being recognised by the RSPCA for its excellent welfare of animals. They’re doing a great job, and actually won Gold in the Stray Dogs Footprint section.”
