MP highlights HIV Campaign

Despite the prevalence of sexually transmitted diseases, many people do not seek advice to protect their health. People are often too embarrassed to visit a clinic, too ashamed to ask questions face-to-face, or simply too busy. To counter this, 56 Dean Street and TheGayUK have jointly launched an online sexual health clinic. The clinic is open to all, free and confidential. Completed forms are sent directly to the experts at 56 Dean Street, and their answers are published on the website. The online clinic is particularly aimed at reducing the number of HIV infections, which have recently risen for the first time since 1999.

John said,

“I fully support this initiative and HIV campaign. No-one should risk their health or the health of others through embarrassment or ignorance, and I urge people to make good use of this innovative service.”
