John Baron MP visits Signpost Work Club in Craylands

MP commends volunteers for valuable community work

John Baron MP today visited the Signpost Charity Work Club, Exeter Close, Craylands, Basildon, to meet Artak Poghosyan, Centre Manager, and volunteers. Since its launch in May 2012, the centre has been providing full-time Work Club services for all residents in nearby areas. Basildon Adult Community Learning runs ‘Pathways to Employment’ courses from the Signpost centre three days a week offering help with writing CVs, letters and job and online applications.

John said:

“Signpost does a good job in helping the unemployed look for jobs, and provides one-to-one support with Universal Job Match and basic IT training. We discussed a number of ways of progressing their work.”
