John Baron MP praises work of volunteers
John Baron MP recently visited Carillion telent at Mayne House, Juniper Park, Basildon. Carillion and telent partnered in 2009 to provide a joined up solution to the design, installation and maintenance of telecoms networks.
During the course of the visit he and the management supported volunteers who were raising money for the Sick Children’s Trust – a charity which helps with Home to Home accommodation for families with sick children.
John said:
“It was a pleasure to meet with the volunteers within Carillion telent and support this very worthwhile trust. It is often forgotten that parents sometimes need support when dealing with their children’s hospital treatments. Well done to both the volunteers and the company for doing what they can.”
Louisa, Carillion telent’s Noticing and Permits Team leader for the South said:
“We chose this charity as it’s very close to my heart as we were lucky enough to use this facility during a hard time when my son was in The Royal London Hospital. This charity is fantastic and relies purely on donations and fund raising and I would like to give a lot more back.”
“We have raised over £250 so far from cake sales with hopefully a little bit more to come. The cakes were donated or baked by members across Carillion telent.”
