MP meets with staff and adult learners at ACL
John Baron MP has visited ACL (Adult Community Learning) Basildon and met the team and some of the adult learners taking courses at the centre. ACL offers adults the opportunity to develop new skills in many diverse areas, such as Maths, English, IT, Child Care, Silversmithing, Woodwork, Dress making skills, beauty, languages and various other ‘creative experience’ courses. The centre also helps with apprenticeships for adults and young people who want to lean and earn in a new career.
John met the Principal, Katherine Burns, Amanda Rawlings, Academic Service Officer and Claire Maynard, Operations Manager.
John said:
“It was a great pleasure visiting ACL and meeting with Katherine and her team who are doing a great job in helping people develop new skills and gain qualifications. We have promised to keep in touch.”
Katherine said:
“We were delighted to meet John and his team and to demonstrate how ACL can support people in Basildon to achieve their full potential through learning. We look forward to working together on community projects in the future.”
