MP talks to students about his role as an MP
John Baron MP, at the invitation of class teacher, Cara Spencer, visited students at St Anne Line Junior School, Wickhay, Basildon to talk about his role as an MP in Parliament.
John said:
“It was great to catch up with the school and share my work and experiences as a Member of Parliament. We discussed a range of issues including the importance of public service. The children had a number of interesting questions and there may well be a few budding politicians among them!”
Cara Spencer said:
“Thank you to John for visiting St Anne Line Catholic Junior School, Basildon. The children were absolutely delighted to speak with John and ask him some probing questions about life as a politician and what it takes to be in a position of responsibility such as this. The Pupil Council are also very excited about their visit to the Houses of Parliament in June. It has certainly paved the way for their future political careers. John’s visit has truly inspired them”.
