MP takes questions from students
John Baron MP met with a group of students from Brightside Primary School as part of their visit to Parliament. The group spent the day with Parliament’s Education service learning about how Parliament works and going on a tour of the Palace of Westminster. The trip culminated with a question and answers session with John.
John said:
“It was a very interesting session with lots of good questions, including whether Parliament should introduce a three day weekend! My thanks to the Parliamentary Education Service and the teachers for arranging the trip.”
Mrs Kate Crouchman, Deputy Headteacher of Brightside Primary School said:
“At Brightside, we endeavour to give our children as many opportunities as we can during their time with us. Visiting Parliament certainly is something the children remember for a long time. I would recommend that all schools visit Parliament as it’s so important for our young voters of the future to see where laws are made and see democracy in action.”
