MP: we will rise to the challenge
In response to the rising number of coronavirus cases, the Prime Minister has announced a number of changes to help slow the spread of the disease. These include once again asking those who can work from home to do so, extending the requirements to wear face coverings and a tightening of the rule of six. In addition, all pubs, bars and restaurants must operate table service only, except for takeaways, with all hospitality venues required to close at 10.00pm daily. “Sadly the data show that coronavirus cases are on the rise, and the Government must take early action to address this. The new rules are necessary and proportionate, and the Government will not hesitate to bring in stricter measures should they become necessary. However, this not a ‘second lockdown’, and I am confident we will all rise to the challenge.”
