MP looks forward to Spending Review
In advance of the Spending Review on Wednesday, the Chancellor has announced that the NHS will receive an extra £3 billion to help address backlogs caused by the coronavirus pandemic by funding delayed scans, checks and operations. The Chancellor also announced that the Spending Review will concentrate on levelling up, particularly by supporting public services such as schools, hospitals and the Police.
John said,
“The coronavirus pandemic has unfortunately led to many backlogs across the NHS, with people waiting for operations and important diagnostic procedures. I am pleased that the Chancellor is addressing this directly with this additional £3 billion, and look forward to the full Spending Review later this week.”
