MP says scheme will give passengers confidence
Today the Secretary of State for Transport, Rt Hon Grant Shapps MP, has announced that from 15th December passengers arriving into England from countries not featured on the Government’s travel corridor list will have the option to take a test after five days of self-isolation, with a negative result releasing them from the need to isolate. Passengers using the scheme should book their test before they travel and must complete a passenger locater form. The test will be at the passenger’s expense, ensuring that NHS Test and Trace testing capacity is protected.
John said,
“I welcome this scheme, which will give passengers the confidence to book international trips, safe in the knowledge that they can return home and isolate for a shorter period if they return a negative test.”
