MP: Essex Police will receive extra £18.8 million
The final details of the Police funding settlement for 2021/22 have been published. This will provide up to £15.8 billion of funding for the policing system, an increase of £636 million on the 2020/21 settlement. Funding available to Police & Crime Commissioners will increase by up to £703 million. Essex Police will receive an increase of £18.8 million, a nearly 6% increase on the previous year.

Policing during the pandemic has not been easy, but our police have risen to the challenge, keeping our streets safe, bearing down on crime and reassuring the public.
