MP: Conservatives are delivering on 2019 manifesto
Today the Government has announced that thousands of rough sleepers will be supported with a £212 million investment in homes, enabling people who sleep rough to be housed in secure accommodation. Rough sleepers will be supported by specialist staff to access the help they require, such as support for mental health or substance misuse needs, so they can move towards training, work, and finding a permanent home.
John said,
“I welcome this major investment towards helping to end rough sleeping, which includes longer-term solutions to support rough sleepers and help them into employment and a permanent home. These measures are in line with the Conservatives’ 2019 manifesto, which we are following through on in this and many other areas.”
