MP: Charter will renew UK/US alliance

Joe Biden, on his first international visit since he became President of the United States, is in the UK for the forthcoming G7 summit in Cornwall. The Prime Minister and the President will agree a new ‘Atlantic Charter’, pledging the UK and US to work together to tackle global challenges and build a more prosperous future based on shared values.

John said,

“The original Atlantic Charter was signed in 1941 and helped the world recover from the shadow of a terrible conflict. In our own times we have the challenge of recovering from the pandemic, and a renewal of the Charter between our two countries will likewise play its role in this task.”
