MP praises Noak Bridge Community Association for its fundraising
Today, John Baron MP joined Cllr Terri Sargent (Chairman, Noak Bridge Community Association) and Evelyn Hailes (Membership Secretary) to present a cheque to the Chemo Unit of Southend Hospital. This money was raised through John’s Fun Walk in May and included money from the bonus pot which local businesses and individuals contributed towards. The Community Association raised £562 which entitled them to a bonus of £491 – making a total of £1053. The event took place at Noak Bridge Village Hall, Noak Bridge.
John Said:
“Noak Bridge Community Association has done a fantastic job in raising this money, so congratulations to all concerned. Many cancer patients will benefit. Fund raising like this illustrates excellent community leadership and spirit.”
“The Fun Walk bonus pot nearly doubled the amount raised by the Association. Our thanks therefore go to Hallmark Healthcare, Veolia Environmental Services, Swan Housing, Toomey Motors, Bellway Homes, Selex Galileo, Stock Brook Manor, Ford Motor Company, Messrs Ken Kent, Steve Foster, Barrie Stone and others.”
